The artistic process

Biodiversity is fast disappearing : 41 % of amphibians (2100 species) and one forth of mammals are threatened. I chose to paint frogs because they belong to the class of animals that are the most threatened: the natural rate of extinction should be one specie every thousand years, and the rate has been multiplied by 45,000 during the Anthropcene . The spread of a deadly fungi due to unsupervised laboratory experiments is the main cause of this devastating extinction.Let us not forget that the large majority of living organisms has not even been discovered yet.
