Household waste (excluding rubble), which accounts for around 10% of total waste produced in France, averaged 525 kg per capita in 2019. Only a third of this is recycled, and the proportion of electronic waste has multiplied

by a factor of 5 between 2005 and 2019 (figures from the Commissariat général au développement durable).
